Russell's Of Neillsville

Russell's Of Neillsville, a family owned company, has been a part of the Neillsville community for over 80 years. Established in 1932, Art and Edna (Tragsdorf) Russell started the Russell's Hardware store with only borrowing $500. The first Russell's Hardware was located on 5th Street where the current Professional Building parking lot is. In 1941 Russell's Hardware moved to its location on Hewett Street where it was located until 2002. In 1945 Art Russell suffered a heart attach and passed away. At this time the store was taken over by Art and Edna's daughter Metty and her husband Glen. During the time Glen and Metty owned the store, Russell's started carrying Furniture, Appliances and Floor Coverings. When the store on Hewett Street became two small Glen and Metty decided to build another location, known as the Warehouse Store. Glen and Metty ran the store until 2002 when their son Bruce Rakestraw and his wife Margie purchased the store. When Bruce and Margie bought the store they added on 5,300 square feet of extra sales floor space on to the Warehouse store and moved the entire Russell's inventory to the one building. Now more than 10 years after moving to our current location, Bruce and his daughter, Amanda, and son-in-law, Travis, have remodeled Russell's Of Neillsville to carry even more hardware for all of your repair needs, making us "Your Even Better Living Store".
